Herndon's Labor Day Festival
Herndon Virginia's popular summer concerts may be over, but here's one final excuse to get loose on the Town Green this summer; the Herndon Labor Day Festival features offerings from a handful of Virginia wineries, music, and beer tastings with popular local brewers including Port City Brewing.

At the Northern Virginia BrewFest more than 40 breweries will feature their best American style beers. The beer festival highlights the intricacies of each particular beer, how beer is made and how to brew your own. Local restaurants provide foods that compliment beer such as chicken wings, chili, barbeque, and many other summer treats. Entertainment includes live music and children’s activities such as face painting, air-brush tattooing, moon bounces, and rock climbing.
The Northern Virginia Summer BrewFest has been held for several years in June at Morven Park in Leesburg. In 2013, for the first time, a Fall Brewfest will be held in October in Centreville.

Fairfax County Fair is actually two events held together over one weekend: The Fairfax 4-H Fair and the Frying Pan Park Farm Show. The Fairfax County Fair includes 4-H exhibits, horse shows, livestock and rabbit judging, dog and pet shows, kiddie rides, old-fashioned games, goat milking, a pie-eating contest, demonstrations, 4-H Fashion Show, crafters, and live entertainment.
